From April 14 to April 24, the Fengtai Branch of the Beijing Book Fair will open at the Taishe Bookstore, the first community bookstore in Fengtai District. More than 20 activities in four special zones are available for the public to experience "Bookish Fengtai".

Entering the Taishe Bookstore, the 1000 square meters of reading space is spacious and bright. In order to meet the diversified reading needs of the people, the book fair has set up four thematic zones. The Theme Book Recommendation Zone recommends to readers a number of fine books that carry forward the main theme of the times. The Reading Culture Activities Zone will organize and carry out new book sales, reading salons, lectures by famous authors, special lectures and other forms of rich reading culture activities. On the day of April 23, World Reading Day, the book fair will also invite famous entrepreneurs into the book fair to share their reading stories. Discounted Book Zone will offer a number of preferential book sales activities, so that the general public can enjoy preferential book buying activities. The "Spring Culture Market" will display and sell many reading-related cultural and creative products such as tea sets from the Forbidden City, so that the general public can experience the pleasure of leisure reading.

Located in No. 10 Xiju Back Street, it is the first community bookstore in Fengtai District. Wang Fuqiang, Vice Minister of the Publicity Department of the Fengtai District Committee, said that in recent years, Fengtai District has been promoting the construction of "Bookish Fengtai", focusing on supporting the high-quality development of physical bookstores and creating a number of branded bookstores with wide market response and cultural influence, like Taishe Bookstore and other Internet-popular bookstores. For example, the Peace Bookstore established in Wanping City is the first military-themed specialty bookstore in China. Located on the first floor of the China Bookstore office building, Bo Hong Bookstore is popular with academic research readers for its rich collection of books on ancient book finishing. This year, Fengtai District will continue to coordinate and gather the advantageous reading resources of the whole district, and fully mobilize the enthusiasm, initiative and creativity of the community to participate in reading for all.
