Beijing Ming City Walls Ruins Park is located in the downtown area of Beijing, with a total area of about 15.5 hectares from the southeast corner tower of the city in the east to the Chongwen Gate in the west, of which the city wall site and the southeast corner tower of the city cover an area of 3.3 hectares and the green area is 12.2 hectares.

Historically, the Ming City Walls were 24 kilometers long and were built in the 17th year of the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty (1419 AD), which has a history of more than 600 years. The existing ruins of the city wall from Chongwenmen to the southeast corner tower of the city are 1.5 kilometers long, which is an integral part of the original inner city wall of Beijing, and is the only remaining section and a symbol of Beijing.

Since 2004, after years of introduction and cultivation, more than 50 varieties and more than 1,000 plum blossoms have been planted in the Ming City Walls Ruins Park. It is the plum viewing destination with the largest number of plum blossom strains and the most complete varieties in Beijing.

In early April, blossoms of some varieties gradually bloom. The plum blossoms set off the corner tower of the city wall, which becomes quieter and highlights the historical vicissitudes of the ancient wall, attracting tourists from all over the world to visit the beautiful scenery here.

Imperial City Wall Relics Park

Imperial City Wall Relics Park is a park built on the site of the eastern wall of the Imperial City, the second most important city wall in Beijing in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The park is about 2,800 meters long and 29 meters wide, and is divided into two sections: south and north. The northern section is from Di'anmen East Avenue to May Fourth Avenue, with a length of about 1,000 meters; The southern section is from May Fourth Avenue to East Chang'an Avenue, with a length of about 1800 meters. The park mainly combines various landscapes to show the ruins of Beijing's city walls, showing the fusion of traditional culture and modern culture.

In the Imperial City Wall Relics Park in spring, the branches of ginkgo trees are covered with emerald green leaves, full of vitality under the sun and blue sky, allowing visitors to feel the different tranquility and beauty of spring.  

The yellow double-petaled begonia flowers are another spring highlight of the Imperial City Wall Relics Park. The petals of the begonia flowers are tightly packed together. This golden yellow color stands out in the new greenery of spring, and these green leaves are all the more impressive with the yellow flowers.

There are also several purple magnolias in the Imperial City Wall Relics Park. The magnolia trees here are very tall, and when spring comes, the magnolia blossoms bloom like purple birds, stopping all over the branches.
