The Yuan Dynasty Capital City Wall Relics Park is built on the site of the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368) capital city, Dadu, hence a great place to learn the history and customs of that dynasty. Known in Chinese as Dadu, this massive city (a 13th-century predecessor to present-day Beijing) was guarded by stout rammed earth walls. Today, the remains of part of those walls are the heart of a beautiful city park popular with joggers and nature lovers.
At present, dozens of varieties of Chinese flowering crabapples are in full bloom and become a sea of flowers. It's a surprise that people can closely appreciate and take photos under the trees because in the past flower season the guard rope always was set to stay away from tourists.
