The 2022 "Colorful World" International Youth Painting Invitational Exhibition (hereinafter referred to as "Painting Exhibition") was held in Beijing from March 19 to March 30, 2023. On the afternoon of March 19, the award ceremony and the opening ceremony of the exhibition were held at the China National Film Museum.

The theme of the exhibition is "Protecting Biodiversity, Building a Community of Life on Earth". Since its launch in May 2022, a total of 43,000 artworks have been received from young people from various countries, with domestic works covering 31 provincial administrative regions and Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan; international works from 50 countries including Australia, Canada, France, Pakistan, Russia, South Africa and the United States.

After expert evaluation and final review by the organizing committee, 312 international winning works and 1002 domestic winning works were finally selected. During the event, the organizers announced the winners of the first, second and third prizes of international and domestic works, and awarded certificates and medals to the representatives of the winning youths. The representatives of international award-winning young people also expressed their feelings about the award through videos and shared their understanding of biodiversity conservation in different languages, appealing to young people from all over the world and motivating families and society to participate in creating a harmonious and beautiful world.

The exhibition was attended and supported by friendship organizations, overseas Chinese groups, schools and institutions in different countries. More than 50 countries' friendship organizations, overseas Chinese organizations, more than 2000 schools and art institutions at home and abroad participated in the organization of the exhibition.
