Space science popularization tour | China Science and Technology Museum

2023-03-21

One of the favorite things to do in summer nights of our childhood was to sit on a small bench to look at the stars, with such a series of questions in mind all the time: Why do the stars shine? Why does the moon wax and wane? Why does the Big Dipper always appear in the north? Standard answers to these questions can be found in science textbooks, but in the China Science and Technology Museum, you can reap the fun beyond the answers.

The China Science and Technology Museum is located on the east bank of the dragon-shaped lake in the Beijing Olympic Park. The water of that lake reflects the Museum in the shape of a Rubik’s Cube. There are countless mysteries hidden in this big Rubik’s Cube that can be solved by both children and adults, which will bring happiness to them. The first step in exploring space can start here.

The exhibition hall of Explorations and Discoveries records the first step for human beings to look up at the starry sky. From the geocentric theory to the heliocentric theory to the law of universal gravitation, human vision has gradually expanded from the solar system to the more distant interstellar space.

When you come to the exhibition hall of Challenges and the Future, you come to the world of astronauts. The exhibits like space suits, Shenzhou spacecraft, spacecraft control room and the 3D rolling ring to experience the space environment, will fully demonstrate all aspects of space life.

China Science and Technology Museum is a place full of curiosity and thirst for knowledge, where everyone can find his young self who always asked “why” for everything.
