Beijing Zoo

Beijing Zoo, with a history of 117 years, was formerly an agricultural experimental site established by the Ministry of Agriculture, Industry and Commerce of the Qing Dynasty in 1906. At present, there are more than 430 species of animals, more than 5,000 animals, 198 species of plants and more than ten cultural relics.

In addition to seeing a variety of animals, you can also visit Beijing Zoo to see ancient buildings, drink panda coffee, and visit the pelican shop.

Changguanlou

Changguanlou, in the northwest of Beijing Zoo, is the last royal suburban residence of the Qing Dynasty, and one of the earliest Baroque architectural relics designed by Chinese Beijing.

The overall architectural style of the Changguan Building is European retro, which looks tall and mysterious in the Chinese garden environment. The building is two-story, with earthen red walls and a 75-centimeter-high base, made of gray brick.

Panda Café

The café of the Panda House has been reopened, attracting many tourists to visit. Entering from the south entrance of the zoo, you can directly reach the panda house. The panda shop on the first floor is full of panda elements. Located on the second floor, the café is decorated with "pandas" in various postures, giving it a sense of a childlike atmosphere. It's a great place to take photos from all angles. The drinks and desserts in the café such as panda coffee and panda toast all have panda motifs, which are loved by children. There is even a glass observation deck inside the café where you can see pandas up close.

Pelican Store

Pelican Store is located on the south side of Waterfowl Lake in Beijing Zoo, covering an area of 204 square meters. It is a cultural and creative store with park characteristics, animal characteristics, and cultural and creative goods combined with popular science education.

The Pelican Store has become one of the park's Internet celebrity check-in points since its opening. The striking pelican sculptures on the exterior and the brightly colored displays inside the store create a comfortable shopping environment.

The store has introduced and developed more than 300 kinds of products including plush toys, handicrafts, daily necessities and other products in six categories, more than 20 kinds of cultural and creative products with the theme of birds, as well as representative panda dolls and more than 100 kinds of animal-shaped goods that are constantly updated. The consumption mode of opening shelves and picking up self-picking gives tourists more experience and free space to buy "souvenirs".
