Pageone Bookstore on Qianmen Street

Designed by Dong Gong, architect of the "Library of Solitude", Pageone Bookstore on Qianmen Street is a three-story Baroque building.

The whole bookstore is based on black, and white colors, and the decoration style of each floor is different and complementary. The literary and artistic decoration is creatively combined with industrial elements. The space is divided into staggered pieces. Light and shadow, line and color are perfectly combined to create a clear, simple and intellectual style.

The first floor is dominated by best-selling books in humanities and social sciences, and the middle area is equipped with books such as humanities, art, literature, and science, as well as many public welfare exhibits; The Pageone Bookstore is also very rich in original foreign language books.

On the second floor there are a children's book area and some cultural and creative gadgets. There are a large number of classic picture books in Chinese and English, children's literature, parent-child life books, and periodical reading... The children's area with colorful fairy tale theme scenes is full of warm and cute fun, which is simply a paradise for children.

In addition to art and philosophy books, there is also a vinyl experience area and a Metal Hands café on the third floor, where you can enjoy fragrant hand-brewed coffee while reading a book.

In addition, there are floor-to-ceiling windows on the entire wall at the entrance of the escalator on the second and third floors. Looking out through the floor-to-ceiling glass windows, you can see Qianmen Street which is full of traffic, and the panoramic view of Zhengyang Gate. No matter how noisy the window is, it is tranquility in the bookstore.
