In 1987, the Peking Man Site at Zhoukoudian was inscribed in the World Heritage List. Located in the northern part of Longgu Mountain, Zhoukoudian Town, Fangshan District, Beijing, it is one of the most abundant, systematic and valuable early Paleolithic human sites in the world.

The scenic spot of Zhoukoudian Peking Man site is divided into two parts, one of which is the site park and the other is the museum. The site park mainly displays the original fossil excavation sites, and there are also some field displays of strata. The museum has a rich and detailed exhibition, where visitors can learn a lot of interesting archaeological knowledge such as "the earliest man who wore shoes".

From February 13 to 19, the 3rd National Archaeological Site Park Culture and Art Week was held in Zhoukoudian, Fangshan District, Beijing. During the week, visitors can visit the cultural bazaar, watch the "Peking Man" 4D film, experience "meeting ancestors" and learn about ancient culture in an immersive way.
