The first highlight of the Juyongguan Great Wall is difficult terrain. As an important pass of the Great Wall, the terrain here is difficult to defend but difficult to attack. It was an important line of defense northwest of Beijing.

There are magnificent steep mountains and deep gullies for military defense to provide a natural barrier. On this basis, the ancients built walls and towers adapted to local conditions.
Juyongguan Great Wall's second major attraction is cultural flavor. Compared with other Great Wall, Juyonguan has stronger cultural flavor and more rich cultural connotation.

In the whole scenic area, temples, ancient roads, winding walls... Everything is the record of historical stories.
Another benefit is relatively few tourists. There is no turning back during the walk, so you can see all the beautiful scenery.
At the end of March and the beginning of April every year, peach blossoms and apricot blossoms are in full bloom at the foot of the Juyongguan Great Wall. The ancient Great Wall and the pink peach blossoms are set each other off to form a picture in harmony.

From August to October 2022, Juyongguan Great Wall opened night tours for the first time. When lit up by lanterns at night, it is like a bright golden dragon.
