Moshikou historical and cultural block was the first district in Beijing to be electrified, and the place where Xiangzi walked in Lao She's  work, Camel Xiangzi.

The block still retains its original spatial structure and has many historical relics, cultural treasures, ancient houses and courtyards, which have a high historical and cultural value. Here you can admire the ancient Cheng’en Temple and the Eight Imperial Handcrafts of Beijing; you can visit the Fahai Temple and enjoy the superb frescoes; you can view the relics of glacial scratches and look for the ancient dust; you can trace the "Tuoling Ancient Path", retrospect the past prosperity of Moshikou and trace the folk culture of western Beijing. In recent years, Moshikou has upgraded and constructed many cultural and leisure spaces, created many special micro exhibition halls, and built many business and cultural compounds, forming a unique business model with ancient charm.

In 2022, the block held the "Welcome the Winter Olympics" festival to recreate the old days of the Tuoling Ancient Path with its busy business and flourishing tourism activities, and the block received nearly 105,000 visitors. It has become an internet-famous spot during the Spring Festival and Winter Olympics. Moshikou block in the west of Beijing ushers in new historical glory.
