Address: The west of Shougang Industrial Culture and Tourism Zone, Shijingshan District, Beijing
New Shougang Bridge, located in the west of the Shougang Industrial Culture and Tourism Zone, is a steel bridge connecting Shijingshan District and Mentougou District across the Yongding River. New Shougang Bridge is the key point of the west extension of Chang'an Avenue. As the world's first double-tower and cable-stayed steel composite system bridge, New Shougang Bridge is the largest span bridge in Beijing and the widest steel bridge in China, with the length of 1354 meters and the width of 54.9 meters.
Two inverted "U" shape steel towers respectively incline to the east and west sides, so overlooked from the sky, they look like two masters of tug-of-war sitting on the ground, face to face, foot against foot, and hand in hand, streching hard backward respectively. It is a steel art with both power and beauty.
New Shougang Bridge won the Eugene Figo Award at the 2020 International Bridge Conference (BC). Now it has become a landmark building in Shijingshan District and became a well-known Internet-famous site in Beijing.
