Ren Jixiang, a sanitation worker, did not take a break this Spring Festival. On the afternoon of the fifth day of the New Year, he had some spare time after working for several hours and he walked slowly into the flower market store of Xinhua Bookstore in Beijing. The staff enthusiastically poured a cup of hot water for him and said, "Thanks for your hard work. Drink some hot water and have a break."

Where Ren Jixiang go, is the warm stations in readers' rest area of the bookstore.  Such conspicuous signs spread the festive atmosphere. During the Spring Festival, 40 stores of Xinhua Bookstore in Beijing opened warm stations to provide hot water and places to rest for frontline staff for free.

With a cup of hot water in hand, Ren Jixiang's chatterbox also opened. His hometown is Yilan, Heilongjiang Province. Although he did not go home for the Spring Festival this year, Ren Jixiang did not feel lonely. He ate New Year's Eve dumplings, but what makes him happier is cleaning the road, to provide a good living environment for residents. Looking at the books, Ren Jixiang said: "These books are necessary to create happiness for the next generation, and they are children's teacher!" After a short rest, Ren Jixiang got up and left. The staff hurriedly said to him, "Come and sit down if you are not busy. The bookstore is warm and it is convenient for you to drink water."

Half an hour later, warm heart station ushered in an express man, Mr. Liu. Under the guidance of the staff, Mr. Liu also sat down and drank a cup of hot water. Three months after the express delivery, the care from Beijing elders has deeply moved him. Liu said a keen delivery lady even prepared a boxed lunch for him, which was heated in the microwave ahead of time just to keep him warm. The warm moments are magnified during the festival. Mr. Liu feels the warmth of Beijing and loves his work more. "I am busy from morning to night every day, but I eat well and sleep well.

There are a lot of touching moments happening in the warm station. Xinhua Bookstore Jinsong Dongkou store, an auxiliary policeman was holding a book quietly to read. When he was reading, his eyes were full of tears. Store manager Zhang Shuo quietly recorded the beautiful moment with the camera. According to reports, during the Spring Festival, more than 100 express men, sanitation workers, fire personnel and so on have had a break in the warm station. The Flower market branch of Xinhua Bookstore also launched a public benefit experience activity of "Rabbit Dolls accompany you to celebrate the New Year" for medical workers and fire personnel, in order to show respect to front-line workers.
