Address: Ma'an Mountain, Yongding Town, Mentougou District, Beijing

With grand scale, Jietai Temple has towering temples and beautiful scenery. Built in 622 A.D., the temple has a history of 1,400 years. Formerly known as Huiju Temple, later Emperor Yingzong of the Ming Dynasty gave it the name "Wanshou Zen Temple", because there is China's largest Buddhist Precept Altar, and the highest precepts of Buddhism - Bodhisattva precepts can be granted here, with the reputation of "the first altar in the world".

The Precept Altar, a place for Buddhist disciples to grant precepts, is a high platform built of bluestones. It is about 3.25 meters high and is divided into three layers, in the shape of the Chinese character "Pin". There are shrines carved at the waist of each layer, in which 113 lords of Budhisattva precepts with different expressions are enshrined. The shrines are very exquisite, and there is a towering and solemn statue of Buddha at the top of the platform.

The ancient cloves and peonies in the temple are imperial gifts from Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, which are 200 years old. The temple has both the majestic momentum of the northern temple and the elegant taste of the southern garden. It is not only a famous temple in Chinese Buddhism, but also a well-known tourist attraction.

The temple is also the filming spot of the drama Empresses in the palace, so many enthusiasts come here to see the real scenery.
