Aranya

The word “Aranya”, deriving from the Sanskrit word “Aranya” in English, means a place of silence, idleness, distantness, and practice, and a refuge from the bustle of the world.

Aranya is located in the central district of the Gold Coast of Changli County, Qinhuangdao. It is silent no matter which season you come. The white buildings are full of eyes, and the slightly salty sea breeze blows, showing the tranquility of the years.

The long coastline is stacked with sea waves. On the northern part of the beach is Aranya's landmark building, the auditorium. When the sun is shining, the auditorium is like an elegant white piano playing music on this beach that can only be heard with the heart. 

Not far away, the “lonely” library faces the sea and quietly towers over this vast space. Inside, warm lighting complements solid wood, and rows of books lean against the wall looking at and accompanying the sea through floor-to-ceiling windows.

Beidaihe Scenic Spot 

Every winter, flocks of seagulls forage and play on the beach of Beidaihe Repulse Bay, Happy Bay, Zhong Beach and Pingshui Bridge along the coast. Feeding seagulls by the sea has become a winter check-in activity for tourists and citizens. The interaction between humans and seagulls has become a unique and charming scenery.

Pigeon's Nest Park is the symbol of Beidaihe. There is a huge rock like an eagle on the cliff of Pigeon Nest Park called Eagle Horn Stone, and the cracks on the stone are crisscrossed. Sea pigeons often inhabit it since ancient times, so it is named Pigeon Nest. In the Eagle Horn Pavilion near the huge rock, you can see the wonders of the sun bathing in clouds and smokes at the beginning of sunrise, and the birds looking like phoenixes flying as if in the fire.

In addition, the sea ice in Beidaihe in winter is also a wonder that can not be missed. Sea ice is a unique gift endowed to the sea in winter, with the waves of the sea in the distance and the calmness of the sea ice nearby. The transparent ice crystals in the blue sea create a clean and mysterious picture. Beidaihe Repulse Bay, Pigeon Nest and other icy sea landscapes have attracted many photographers and Internet celebrities to have a visit.
