Shougang Park·Chang’an Mills: Thematic Exhibition of “Candy Flower Rabbit”

Walking into Chang’an Mills shopping mall, the whole place is full of children’s laughing and cheering. They play joyfully at pink ocean ball pool and participate in the Monopoly game to gain gifts. The first floor is the ocean of happiness, while the second floor can be seen as an elegant art space. “Lucky Workshop of Candy Flower Rabbit” contains six sections ranging from RICH Workshop, Rabbit LUCKY Workshop, Rabbit EASY Handicraft Workshop, Rabbit CHILL Office, Candy Flower Workshop to Candy Flower Rabbit Store. Visitors have opportunities to get involved into interesting activities like lucky wheel, pitch pot, creative handwork and so on, letting their hair down.

At the corner, internet-popular stairs are dressed with New Year flavor. Colorful stairs with “Candy Flower Rabbit” as the theme form the three-dimensional art space to attract visitors come to enjoy unique art atmosphere.

The exhibition runs until March, 19, 2023.

INDIGO: Space Rabbit Leads New Year New Explorations at INDIGO

There is a giant space rabbit at the first floor of INDIGO shopping mall! Together with space rabbit, the mascot for the Lunar Exploration and Space Engineering Center of the China National Space Administration, INDIGO is hosting a series of festive activities featured space, so that children will experience the mystery of the space.

The event has built six thematic immersive experiencing spaces ranging from interactive AR games to official gifts shop. Inside the interactive zone, visitors may get the chance to closely observe 1:1 model of Chang’e No.4 lunar rover and real rocket debris, unlocking vital equipment of space exploration.

As the mascot for the Lunar Exploration and Space Engineering Center of the China National Space Administration, the space rabbit gets inspiration from Jade Rabbit which is the image of traditional Chinese fairy tale. Combined with the image of modern astronauts and colors with attributes of China’s space science and technology such as red, blue and white, the mascot embodies pioneering efforts of Chinese astronauts.

China World Trade Center: Lucky Rabbit and Auspicious Spring, 2023 Guofeng Season

In order to celebrate the arrival of the Year of the Rabbit, China World Trade Center has launched Guofeng Season from Jan. 6 to Feb. 28, especially installing rabbit-shaped lanterns and decorations and hosting various interesting festive activities like pitch pot and rubbing.

Sat in front of the building A, the installation “Fuqi Duoduo (Much Luck)” is eye-catching. The rabbit with the height of over 4 meters holds a golden carp in both hands, standing for surplus year after year. Besides, at 2rd building of office building, A building of China World Trade Center as well as the hall of B building, citizens can also enjoy rabbit installations with various shapes and styles.

Jingshan Park: 3.5-meter-high Lord Rabbit Sits at Jingshan

Dressing with golden armor, holding a pestle for medicine, carrying a bright-colored banner, surrounded by osmanthus, jade rabbit, lotus and fish lanterns, the Lord Rabbit sitting in the middle of the lotus is of awe-inspiring appearance.

The size of Lord Rabbit is various. It is recorded that there was a Lord Rabbit with the height over 1 meter made in the late Qing Dynasty, while 3 or 4-inch Lord Rabbits were also manufactured and received  great popularity.

With the arrival of the Year of the Rabbit, plenty of innovation and creation are made about the image of Lord Rabbit. Jingshan Park has launched an interactive activity which invites visitors find lucky rabbit images in Internet-popular spots. There is a 3.5-meter-high Lord Rabbit sculpture located at Shouhuang Hall Square of Beijing Central Axis, attracting numerous visitors come to take photos. What’s more, outside of Internet-popular cafeteria and cultural and creative products store in the park, Lord Rabbit installations are also placed.
