Zhengyici Peking Opera Theatre was an ancient temple in Ming Dynasty and was built as the Yinhao Guild Hall with a theater during the years of Qing Emperor Kangxi. With a history of more than 300 years, it is the first indoor theater in Chinese history. Known as "the Living Fossil of Chinese theater", it has a unique cultural status that cannot be replicated.

Zhengyici Peking Opera Theatre is the oldest pure wooden structure theater in China. Inside the traditional wide gate, there are three wide rooms in the east and west, twelve purlins from north to south.

Zhengyici Peking Opera Theatre witnesses the birth, development, and prosperity of the art of opera. Many opera masters have performed in this building. Carrying the traces of time, the theater makes the history of hundreds of years of opera’s development perceptible and touchable. It brings the "literary and artistic style" of hundreds of years ago to the present. Shining brightly under the light, the mahogany carved fence is also an enjoyment even if you don't watch operas.
