1. Zhoukoudian Peking Man Site Museum
“The Jubilant Spring Festival” Special Exhibition on Auspicious Culture with the Nanjing Museum Collection
Introduction: During the Spring Festival and Lantern Festival, Zhoukoudian Peking Man Site Museum and Nanjing Museum jointly will hold a special exhibition entitled “Jubilant Spring”, which showcases 111 pieces of Chinese New Year pictures, household items, porcelain, weaving and other cultural relics. The exhibition reflects the local New Year style and the simple customs and beliefs of the people in Nanjing.
2. Ancient Bell Museum of Great Bell Temple
Golden Bells for “Fortune”
Activity period: January 22nd - January 27th
Introduction: Give away gourd fortune cards to the public who visit the museum. 100 cards per day, first-come, first-served.
Ringing the Bell for Blessing
Activity time: January 22nd and January 26th, 10:00am
Introduction: The Yongle Bell will be rung for the audience to listen and pray for blessings.
3. Dajue Temple
Dajue Temple 2023 Chinese New Year Folklore Exhibition
Time: During the Chinese New Year
Introduction: Chinese New Year is a time to bid farewell to the old and usher in the new, and it is also the most important traditional festival of the Chinese people. This exhibition is held to promote the traditional Chinese New Year culture and to let the audience understand the folklore of the Spring Festival and the way it is celebrated.
“Praying for the New Year, and Bringing Home the Blessing” Activity
Time: January 22nd - January 27th
Introduction: During the event, the first 100 people who visit Dajue Temple each day will be sent a vajra knot.
“New Year Tea Service, Overflowing Tea fragrance” Activity
Time: January 23rd - January 27th, 9:00am-10:30am
Introduction: During the event period, Dajue Temple will offer a Chinese New Year tea service, and each visitor can participate in the Chinese New Year tea service after entering the museum.
“Sending the New Year’s Blessing, and Bringing Home the Blessing” Activity
Time: January 22nd - January 27th
Introduction: During the event, the first 100 visitors entering the museum each day will receive a “Fu”(means blessing) character.
