2023-01-05

On the eve of New Year's Day, the Di 'anmen Department Store in Di 'anmen Street of Xicheng District turned into Xindibai (New Di 'anmen Department Store). It enriches the revitalization project of Di' anmenwai Street and the central axis of Beijing.

Before the transformation, the old Department Store had a total of 5 floors. In order to transform the appearance of the north central axis, the Department Store is lowered to two storeys above ground and highlights traditional architectural elements. On the side facing the Qianhai Lake, the Department Store is 4 floors above the ground with a viewing terrace. In the evening, the night view and the lake scenery complement each other.

Liu Weiyan, executive deputy commander of the Fujing Street headquarters in Shichahai said that Xindibai will adhere to the theme of "Chinese style new life" and the positioning of "high quality, cultural emphasis, strong attraction", including tide retail, catering, art and culture and high-end office and other diversified business forms. Focus on new consumption trends, it integrates cutting-edge fashion and historical heritage.

At present, merchants on the first floor and B1 floor have started business, and merchants on other floors have signed contracts and are about to settle in. From December 31, 2022, the "Beijing New Year Wonderful Life Festival" was held on the B1 floor. Dozens of brand merchants will jointly bring a variety of good things to the public to welcome the Spring Festival.

Founded in 1952, Di'an Men Department Store is one of the well-known old department store in Beijing. Since 2013, in order to cooperate with the overall planning of Shichahai area, it was upgraded. After nearly ten years of improvement and transformation, it opens to the public again.

"Xindibai is not only an important commercial carrier in the central axis, a vital link between traditional and modern businesses in old Beijing, and also a support of the urban function renewal of Xicheng District." Liu Weiyan said.
