The first ice and snow season arrives after the optimization of the epidemic prevention and control policy. The 16th Beijing Pinggu Ice and Snow Season themed "Ice and Snow Leisure, Taozui Pinggu" opens at Pinggu Yuyang International Ski Resort on December 28. In this Ice and Snow Season, Pinggu District fully excavates and coordinates the leisure culture, tourism and agricultural resources of the whole region in winter. In order to meet the needs of weekend tourism, two snow and ice leisure routes have been built for young people and families respectively. 15 hotels and B&Bs and several agricultural greenhouses in villages have been encouraged to provide accommodation and picking and other warm services.

Ice viewing projects mainly focus on Jingdong Grand Canyon icefall landscape in Shandongzhuang Town, Pinggu District, and icicles in Lishugou leisure town, Huangsongyu Township, and Pinggu Sports Center outdoor skating rink.

When entering Jingdong Grand Canyon scenic spot, you can see icefalls and icicles of all sizes and the scene is like a fairy tale world. Besides that, visitors can enjoy not only the Jingdong Grand Canyon Icefall this year, but also the Yuzishan Ice and Snow Park.

In winter, Lishugou Leisure Town also adds snow slideways, skating rink and other highly participatory snow entertainment items. Taking the sightseeing vehicle to drive in the valley between the two mountains, you can enjoy the fantastic and romantic night view. Planting cold resistant crop kale on the flower sea terraces to create a new winter landscape and landmark.

The skiing events mainly focus on Yuyang International Ski Resort. Beijing Yuyang International Ski Resort is located in Donggao Village, Pinggu District, covering an area of more than 300,000 square meters, more than 60 kilometers away from the urban area. It is a comprehensive ski resort integrating snow sports, catering, accommodation, training, conference and leisure.

It has held many domestic and international ski events. Yuyang Ski Resort sets a total of 12 high, medium and junior ski trails, equipped with a two-person cable car, a four-person cable car, eight magic carpets and other advanced snow transport equipments, which can meet the needs of different people.

The Ice and Snow Season, which will last until early March 2023, will span traditional festivals such as New Year's Day, Spring Festival and Lantern Festival. A series of activities will be launched for visitors to participate. Activities such as New Year's Ice and Snow Music Light Show and Country Music Light Festival will encourage more consumers to participate in ice and snow sports and promote consumption recovery.

Island exploration projects are mainly concentrated in Bibo Island of Jinhaihu Town. With beautiful scenery, Bibo Island is the preferred destination for many citizens to travel to Jinhai Lake in summer. In order to extend the tourism service cycle, Bibo Island actively caters to the market in the first winter after the Winter Olympics, serves the citizens and spreads the Winter Olympics culture. The entertainment projects cover an area of 27,000 square meters. In the animal corridor, there are lepus timidus, ostrich, peacock, sika deer, white rabbit, chicken, duck and goose, pony and so on. Children have close contact with small animals.
