On December 24, three large outdoor ice and snow parks opened in Shijingshan District, including the Lianshihu Ice Rink in the Winter Olympic Park, Banshanhuahai Ice and Snow Carnival, and Snowman Kingdom at Shijingshan Stadium which provide the public with a good place to experience the fun of ice and snow.

At present, the fence around Lianshihu Ice Rink has been basically installed, and ice carts, ice drift vehicles, dog sleds and other equipments have been transported to the rink orderly. An official of the rink said, "The average thickness of the ice at the rink has reached 18 centimeters. We will continue to check the ice before opening to make sure it’s smooth and safe." In addition to ice skating, the rink also has recreational facilities such as ice bikes, dog sleds and ice drift vehicles. In addition, the rink has also set up a special ice area, which is open to the public for free ice experience.

Besides Lianshihu Ice Rink, Banshanhuahai Ice and Snow Carnival is only 20 kilometers away from the downtown area. It is a large comprehensive snow park integrating parent-child amusement, snow sports and leisure. Visitors can participate in more than 10 kinds of snow sports such as snow motorcycle.

Also scheduled to open on December 24 is the Snowman Kingdom at Shijingshan Stadium, which has nearly 20 kinds of ice and snow activities, including ice slide, snow skateboard, snow tank, super castle, snowman forest and so on. It is perfect for parents and children to enjoy the fun of ice and snow activities here.
