It is understood that this year, Beijing Water Authority plans to open five ice rinks, a total of 268,300 square meters, which can accommodate up to 5,300 people at the same time. The 5 ice Rinks include: Bayi Lake Ice Rink, Mencheng Lake Ice Rink, Xiaoyue Lake Ice Rink, Lianshi Lake Ice Rink and Wenyuhe Park Ice Rink. All five ice rinks have restrooms and parking lots, and four of them offer some free areas or services. At present, in view of the key dangerous areas, Beijing Water Authority has inspected, and promptly discouraged unauthorized people from going on the ice to prevent the ice falling events. At the same time, conspicuous safety warning signs, voice broadcast devices, life presets, ropes and other safety protection facilities will be set up in the gathering areas. The safety warning areas will be demarcated to implement the responsibility of ice safety management, and strictly prevent accidents on the ice.
