Big Air Shougang

Big Air Shougang is located in the southwest of the north area of Shougang Park in Shijingshan District. It is the first newly-built competition venue and the only newly-built snow venue for the Beijing Winter Olympic Games.

Big Air Shougang is the world's first permanently preserved grand jumping competition facility, and also the world's first Olympic venue combined with the industrial heritage. The Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics host two events, freestyle skiing and snowboarding, with a total of four gold medals.

The curve design of Big Air Shougang is inspired by the "flying sky" in Dunhuang murals. The flexible curve of the flying belt is similar to the movement trajectory of the athletes.

No.3 Blast Furnace

No.3 Blast Furnace can be said to be the landmark building in the Shougang Park, and it is also one of the best photo spots for many citizens.

The transformation of the No.3 Blast Furnace is not carried out independently, but integrated with the surrounding scenery and facilities. It is surrounded by mountains on the west side and water below, where the design concept of harmony between industry and nature is adopted here.

With a capacity of more than 2500 cubic meters, No.3 Blast Furnace was the pride of Shougang Park and witnessed the brilliance of industrial civilization. In the future, No.3 Blast Furnac will become a new carrier to awaken the vitality of city culture.

Xinshougang Bridge

The Xinshougang Bridge is the longest, highest and most difficult cross-river bridge in Beijing. With 1354 meters long, the bridge spans Shougang Park, Yongding River Lianshihu scenic spot and West Sixth Ring Road.

With novel structure and unique surface shape, the bridge is skillfully integrated with nature. The total amount of steel used in the main bridge is about 45,000 tons. At present, Xinshougang Bridge has become a famous spot in the west of Beijing, attracting many tourists to come here to experience its magnificence.

Shougang Xiuchi Pool

The renovated Shougang Xiuchi Pool is designed with cool colors, simple and strong industrial style.

Shougang Xiu Pool, originally named Xiu Lake, was built in 1940 and is the earliest large-scale water landscape in the Shougang Park. Xiuchi Pool is an important part of iron making process as a drying pool for cooling water of blast furnace.

After the reconstruction, the water injection volume of Xiuchi Pool reaches 26,816 cubic meters with 0.8-meter water injection depth and 33,520-square-meter water area.
