To further study and implement the spirit of the Twentieth National Congress of the Communist Party of China, implement the "Fourteenth Five Year" Cultural and Tourism Development Plan, further strengthen the construction and management of the "Hometown of Chinese Folk Culture and Arts" around the high-quality development of grass-roots public cultural services, promote the formation of distinctive folk culture and art brands with prominent advantages, a number of typical examples of the hometown of folk culture and art with regional influence are launched. Therefore,
"Hometown of Chinese Folk Culture and Arts" plays an active role in the process of consolidating and expanding the achievements of poverty alleviation. Recently, according to the "Notice of the Public Service Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China on Carrying out the Collection of Typical Cases for the Construction of the 'Hometown of Chinese Folk Culture and Arts'", the list of typical cases for the construction has been determined after recommendation by provinces and evaluation by experts, with a total of 91 typical cases being selected.
These cases are of innovative planning and attract extensive participation of social forces; Creating characteristic service space, actively carrying out positional services, and driving the high-quality development of grass-roots public cultural services; Making full use of the Internet and digital technology to attract people to participate actively; Promoting the transformation of the achievements of the construction of the "Hometown of Chinese Folk Culture and Arts", actively exploring the integration of cultural undertakings, cultural industries and tourism, and accumulating some good experiences and practices, which have a typical demonstration effect. Today, we will introduce two typical cases of "Hometown of Chinese Folk Culture and Art" from Beijing.
Gaoliying Town, Shunyi District, Beijing
Gaoliying Town is located in the extension area of the capital airport economic zone and the Wenyu River green ecological corridor in the west of Shunyi District. It is an important carrier to undertake the radiation and function transfer of Shunyi, and also a core area to drive the development of surrounding towns and villages. Since the end of the Ming Dynasty and the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, Gaoliying District has organized and established various folk traditional song and dance clubs. The magnificent and resplendent national culture is highly respected here. With the continuous development of the regional economy, Gaoliying Town pays more attention to and supports the promotion and inheritance of the excellent local traditional opera culture, and promotes the vigorous development of folk culture.
At present, there are 7 folk art troupes in Gaoliying Town, Shunyi District, including 2 town level Pingju troupes and several opera hobby groups, gathering a large number of opera lovers. In recent years, various troupes in Gaoliying Town have regularly organized activities to bring wonderful literary and artistic performances to the local people. On the basis of the purpose of rehearsing traditional dramas, the troupes have prepared and performed small dramas of different themes in various villages based on the current new policies and important time nodes.
Yufa Town, Daxing District, Beijing
Yufa Town, located at the southernmost end of Daxing District, Beijing, is the south gate of the capital. It covers an area of 136 square kilometers, with 58 administrative villages (24 of which have been relocated) and a population of 68,000. Zhang Hua, a statesman of the Western Jin Dynasty, Shi Kefa, a hero of the late Ming Dynasty and the late Qing Dynasty, and Charles, a famous scholar of the Qing Dynasty, were all born here. Historic sites can be seen everywhere in this ancient cultural town, including the Wuji Zen Master Pagoda in the Yuan Dynasty, the Qiuxian Dam built during the reign of Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty, and the Tomb of Madam Gongqin Xie. In recent years, Yufa Town has been awarded with many honors, such as the National Civilized Town, the National Health Town, the National Environmental Town, the National Advanced Grass roots Party Organization, and the National Advanced Unit for Comprehensive Social Security Management.
Yufa Town has more than 100 folk flower show teams, including Wunchaozi Team, Stilt Team, Dragon Dance and Lion Dance Team, Awe-inspiring Gong and drum Dance Team, Square Dance Team and so on, including 37 Wuchaozi Teams. In each year's January, more than 10 traditional cultural activities are held, attracting more than 200000 audiences. Yufa Town pays attention to protection, inheritance and development of folk culture and art, with more than 200000 people benefiting from it. It has a wide influence in 14 towns and townships adjacent to Yufa Town, as well as in cities and counties such as Gu’an, Yongqing, Zhuozhou and Bazhou in Hebei Province.
