New Badaling Tunnel of Beijing-Zhangjiakou High-speed Railway, Badaling Great Wall Railway Station won China Construction Engineering Luban Prize

Badaling Great Wall Railway Station is the deepest underground station of high-speed railway in China, the station with the largest number of main holes and the most complex underground tunneling group in China. The New Badaling Tunnel of Beijing-Zhangjiakou High-speed Railway is the railway tunnel with the longest single arch span in China. The New Badaling Tunnel of Beijing-Zhangjiakou High-speed Railway and Badaling Great Wall Railway Station, which create many records, have won the China Construction Engineering Luban Prize(National Prime-quality Project).

The Beijing-Zhangjiakou High-speed Railway is an important part of the Beijing-Lanzhou High-speed Railway and also an important supporting infrastructure project for the Beijing Winter Olympics. The construction started in December 2015. The line starts from Beijingbei Railway Station and ends at Zhangjiakou Station, with 11 stations including Qinghe, Changping, Badaling and Xiahuayuanbei Railway Station. The whole line opened for operation on December 30, 2019. Designed and built independently by China, the Beijing-Zhangjiakou High-speed Railway is the world's most advanced intelligent high-speed railway with an speed of 350 kilometers per hour.

As a key and difficult control project, New Badaling Tunnel of Beijing-Zhangjiakou High-Speed Railway project is undertaken by China Railway No.5 Engineering Group Co., LTD. The project is 70 kilometers away from Beijingbei Railway Station, with a total construction area of 48900 square meters, which is divided into ground station and underground station.

From the Beijing-Zhangjiakou Railway to the Beijing-Zhangjiakou High-speed Railway, time has witnessed the rapid development of China's railway for more than 100 years.
