The 21st ISFVF opened at the Beijing Film Academy on November 13 and screened 56 outstanding shortlisted works. The closing ceremony and award ceremony will be held on November 20, and the final 11 honors will be announced.

This year's film festival received a total of 904 student masterpieces from 40 countries and regions: among the 587 feature films, young student directors used images to explore narratives and leave imprints of imagination; In 148 animated short films with different styles, wild dreams are implanted on the screen; 128 documentaries close to the current fate and the pulse of the times show young film students' observation of society and life; There are also 41 works of other genres, presenting the fresh but powerful language of the creators, trying to open up the possibilities of creation and the boundaries of images.

Yu Jianhong, vice president of Beijing Film Academy, said that ISFVF has played an active role in serving the short film teaching practice of Beijing Film Academy and promoting international exchanges between the school and the world film and television schools in the past 20 years, and he hoped that more students can broaden their horizons and improve their skills through this platform, and expected that young students would inject new impetus into the prosperity and development of cultural undertakings in the new era and promote Chinese culture to the world.
