Written by Zhong Haiqing, Pan Xunhong and Xie Ke, and directed by Xie Ke, the drama Dou Zhi'er was created and premiered in 2017, which was called "a drama full of life" by the audience. Li, an old man living alone, and Chen, a craftsman believing in love, Li Mo who studies abroad back to start a business, Li Hong, a Beijing girl with delicate feeling, and Tong Tong, a Taiwan dramatist who works in Beijing and regards Dou Zhi'er shop as the second home... 

In the rapidly changing city, they just like the mung beans brewing dou zhi’er. It shows the contemporary life of Beijing with light comedy style.

The performance "Dou Zhi'er" is polished this time and improved on the original basis, adding many elements of the current youth such as metaverse, artificial intelligence, Hanfu and other hot topics which are all reflected in the play.
