2. Guozijian Street

Out of Wudaoying Hutong, you’ll turn into Guozijian Street from Andingmen Nei Street, which is the only street in Beijing with four archways. In the Qing Dynasty, it was named "Chengxian Street" because of the Confucius Temple and Guozijian here, also known as Guozijian Hutong.

Confucius Temple and Guozijian Museum are located at No. 15 Guozijian Street. The Confucius Temple in Beijing and the Guozijian were built in the Yuan Dynasty, respectively as the place for the emperor to worship Confucius and the highest academic institution in the country. The two groups of buildings are built along the central axis as the symmetrical traditional Chinese architectures. They form a complete, grand, magnificent ancient architectural complex.

3.Dongmianhua Hutong

Dongmianhua Hutong is located in Andingmen Nei Street, Dongcheng District, formerly known as Mianhua Hutong. There is also a hutong called mianhua Hutong in Xicheng District, so the word "Dong" is added in order to distinguish them. The Central Academy of Drama is located here.

In Dongmian Hutong, there are many classic quadrangles. When walking around, you can see the quadrangles with several red bricks. The mottled walls seem to tell the long history here.

NO.15 Dongmianhua Hutong, part of the Fengshan residence of the general in the late Qing Dynasty. It is worth mentioning that the brick arch is nearly 100 years old. The door is finely carved, with all kinds of flowers, animals and auspicious patterns. The exquisite hand carving is really amazing.

4.Beiluoguxiang
