The National Centre for the Performing Arts invited famous oil painter Liu Yuyi and Zhang Jingdong, executive director of Zhang Ruiling Calligraphy Art Academy to present a wonderful art class at the painting exhibition of Liu Yuyi and the calligraphy exhibition of Zhang Ruiling.
Zhang Jingdong introduced two of the most representative works "Empty Talk is Harmful to the Nation While Doing Practical Work Will Make it Thrive" and "The New Peach Colony". "The New Peach Colony" is one of the masterpieces of calligraphy through which Mr. Zhang Ruiling promoted environmental protection for many years. It praises the remarkable achievements of desertification control and ecological management in the new era and expresses the people's yearning for a new and better life.
Liu Yuyi, who was over eighty years old, was very pleased to see there were many young audiences. He introduced two representative works, "Good Night" and "Building the Chinese Dream Together". Based on the theme that Chairman Mao and Liu Yazi composed poems on the night of the Mid-Autumn Festival in 1950, "Good Night" shows the peaceful scenes of people from all walks of life chanting poems, tasting tea, and playing chess in the courtyard with a bright moon and hanging palace lanterns, and expresses the wishes that the motherland will see a peaceful future. "Painting is the voice of the heart. I will use the colors and lines to express gratitude to my motherland to draw the great cause of the nation and the spirit of the new era," said Liu.
Liu Yuxiao, Director of the Art Department of the National Centre for the Performing Arts, introduced that the two exhibitions, with unique characteristics, both praise the country in the new era. After the opening of the exhibition, these two exhibitions received good feedback and wide acclaim from all walks of life. Visitors with tickets can enjoy the exhibitions until the end of October.
