Published by China Travel and Tourism Press, the book truly records the pattern and inheritance, interests and customs, history and legends, personnel and environment of old Beijing hutongs. From the original "slow life" of old Beijing, the book shows cultural charm of Hutongs through 393 pictures and more than 200,000 words.

Yang Yin said that he was born in Beijing and spent his childhood in hutongs. He has been photographing for more than 30 years. The book is composed of 137 hutongs, 19 temples, and 19 former residences of celebrities, selected from 40,000 photos and edited for five years. He hopes that through this book, readers can find the memories for a long time.
