Also known as Pingyao Hall, Yanliao Theater was founded in the Ming Dynasty by pigment and tung oil merchants from Shanxi. It's one of the earlier commercial guild halls in the Beijing. Its "front temple and back hall" pattern is a common form of Ming and Qing dynasty hall architecture layouts. In order to promote the traditional Chinese culture, Dongcheng District has introduced professional art and cultural troupes in the hall. It also combined with pigment colors, national instrumental music, Beijing Hutong and other cultural elements, and gradually carried out cultural performances. It opens them to the general public in order to continuously enrich the cultural connotation of the hall.

Tingzhou Guild Hall is a unique Fujian-style folk building in Beijing, which was built with the funds of Fujian provincial fellows in Beijing. It is divided into North Hall, South Hall, and these buildings are of the style of Ming and Qing dynasties in Jiangnan.
