Beijing Wenyu River Park is located in the northeast of Beijing's central urban area, at the junction of Chaoyang, Shunyi and Changping districts, where the Wenyu River and Qinghe River meet, and upstream of the city's sub-center. 

The planned area of Beijing Wenyu River Park is 30 square kilometers. It is the largest "green lung" in Beijing. It integrates ecological conservation, habitat restoration, and flood storage and detention functions, taking into account cultural, leisure, sports and other functions, forming a large-scale ecological space with blue sky and green land, interdependence of forests and water, biodiversity, and benefits for people. It strives to build an ecological civilization and become a "Golden Business Card" of Beijing.

The starting area of ​​the first phase of Beijing Wenyu River Park, covering an area of ​​about 2 square kilometers, is located in the middle of the park. The construction started in early 2019, and focused on 6 aspects, including forest (like a natural forest), water (water ecology), environment (biodiversity), smartness (smart park), garden (garden in forest) and soil (construction waste recycling). The spatial planning is "one axis, one vein, and five areas". According to the forest, field and water features, it is divided into five areas, namely the Forest Legu Area, the Terraced Wetland Area, the Huaxi Jintian Area, the Vibrant East Lake Area and the Adventure Forest Area. There are many scenic spots connected by water veins, such as waterfalls and pinnacles and Yunshang terraces. The whole park is equipped with a variety of leisure activity facilities. It is a pro-nature, high-quality, international urban ecological leisure park integrating cultural exchange display and outdoor sports experience.

Guided by the connotation concept of "Ecology, Life, Vitality", Beijing Wenyu River Park will be built into a combination of ecological conservation, habitat restoration, and flood storage and detention functions, taking into account cultural, leisure, sports and other diverse functions, forming a water-green integration, biodiversity, a large-scale ecological space that benefits the people.

Beijing Wenyu River Park owns 9 ecological parking lots, covering an area of 57086 square meters and 1200 parking spaces, meeting the basic parking needs of tourists.

Mobile dining cars and 5G unmanned vending machines are set up in the park to flexibly provide fast and intelligent catering services for tourists in the park.
