On August 22, on the third floor of Beijing People's Art Theatre, the lines of the major revolutionary historical drama Night of Xiangshan sounded again.

As Beijing participating repertoire of the 17th Wenhua Award, Night of Xiangshan will be performed at Handan Grand Theater in Hebei Province on August 28 and 29. In order to present a better stage effect, the crew is carrying out a new round of polishing and upgrading .

Night of Xiangshan is a key play jointly launched by the Publicity Department of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, and Beijing People's Art Theatre to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC). It was premiered at the Capital Theatre on March 25, 2021.

The drama Night of Xiangshan is different from other works with the same theme. This play does not just tell a story. 

Taking the important historical juncture of People's Liberation Army of China crossing the Yangtze River and liberating Nanjing on the evening of April 23, 1949 as the time node, through Mao Zedong and Chiang Kai-shek's "Psychological Dialogue in Time and Space", it comprehensively traces the CPC's history of New Democratic Revolution, shows the party's struggle process, and reveals a profound theme - the Chinese Communist Party has won and continued to grow and develop because it has always been seeking rejuvenation for China and happiness for the people.
