Central Gifts and Artifacts Center is located in Dongcheng District, Beijing, overlooking Zhengyangmen Gate in the west and the Temple of Heaven in the south.
The building of Central Gifts and Artifacts Center adopts a traditional colonnade structure with square columns. Its tone is the same as that of National Museum of China and Museum of the Communist Party of China. All of them are dignified and simple.
The center now is housing an exhibition, The Gift of Friendship From Past Ties to a Shared Future — Exhibition of Diplomatic Gifts Received by China’s Leader. It exhibits more than 670 gifts that have been exchanged between China and other countries since the founding of People's Republic of China. All the gifts can be described as priceless treasures.
Central Gifts and Artifacts Center opened in February this year and was closed for a while, but reopened for appointments in early July.
You can visit here for free but need to make an appointment online 1-7 days in advance. ID cards are required on site.
