Tai Chi, 太极 tài jí

Tai Chi is a type of boxing in traditional Chinese martial arts. In 2020, it was included in UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Tai Chi is a Chinese traditional boxing with both internal and external cultivation, gentleness, slowness, lightness, strength and softness.  It takes Tai Chi philosophy and dialectical concept of yin and yang in traditional Chinese Confucian and Taoist philosophy as the core idea, integrates various functions such as self-cultivation, physical fitness and combat, and combines the knowledge, thinking and martial arts of multiple academic schools.
