The 12th Beijing International Film Festival will be held in Beijing from August 13 to August 20, 2022, with nine main events, including the Tiantan Awards selection, the red carpet at the opening ceremony, the Beijing Film Panorama, and the Film Carnival. The two-week's Beijing Film Festival on the Cloud will be held online.

On August 20, this year's winners in the ten categories of the Tiantan Award will be announced at the closing ceremony. The Beijing Film Panorama will be held from August 12 to 21 and the Film Carnival will be held from August 14 to 27.

Argentina is the guest of honor of this year's festival and the Argentine Minister of Culture Tristan Bauer will be invited to deliver a video message at the opening ceremony. At the same time, the 12th Beijing International Film Festival will focus on Asia-Pacific regional cooperation. The film and television industries of ASEAN countries are also invited to participate in activities of Beijing market.
