On July 29, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism held a press conference for the 13th China Art Festival, introducing the overall situation of the 13th China Art Festival, arrangements for key activities and preparations around the country. At the conference, Zhou Hanping, first-level inspector of the Department of Arts of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, introduced the general situation of the 13th China Art Festival, the Wenhua Award evaluation and the design intention of the logo of the 13th China Art Festival.
Zhou Hanping introduced that the 13th China Art Festival will be jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Beijing Municipal Government, Tianjin Municipal Government and Hebei Provincial Government. With the theme of "Welcome the 20th CPC National Congress and Advance to a New Journey", the festival is scheduled to open in Beijing on September 1 and close in Xiongan New Area on September 15. During the period, it will hold the opening and closing ceremonies, art awards, invited plays, the theme exhibition to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the "Speech at the Yan'an Symposium on Literature and Art", art works exhibition, performing arts and cultural creation exposition and other main activities. The festival will boost the linkage activities of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei to carry out brand cultural exhibitions and other online activities such as online performances of high-quality plays.
In the main event, the organizers will invite 58 works to participate in the Wenhua Award and nearly 30 other outstanding works to participate in the repertoire show. In addition, it will also hold " People-oriented literature and art - commemorate the 80th anniversary of Comrade Mao Zedong's "Speech at the Yan'an Symposium on Literature and Art" theme exhibition. Zhou Hanping introduced that the logo of the 13th China Art Festival is designed based on the emblem of the China Art Festival. The emblem of the Chinese Art Festival is the permanent emblem of the Festival, which was established by the former Ministry of Culture in 1986. It is round in shape and consists of the words "Chinese Art Festival" in Chinese and English. The emblem symbolizes a person holding a bouquet of flowers and a bird with wings ready to fly, signifying the soaring of Chinese art to new heights. The three-colored "bonds" design in the logo of the 13th China Art Festival represent that the festival is co-sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in collaboration with Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei Province. The red color with the auspicious clouds represents Beijing, the blue color with the waves represents Tianjin, and the green color with the Great Wall represents Hebei. The combination of the main body "circle" and the three colors of "bonds" embodies the cultural spirit of "integration" and "diversity", and implies that the culture is innovative and endless.
