The 2022 Beijing Tourism Commodities and Cultural and Creative Products Competition was officially launched on July 27 in iWorkshop Culture and Technology Integrated Industrial Park, a famous punch in place in Beijing. The theme of this year's competition is "Very Beijing", which highlights the strong Beijing characteristics. From now on, the competition will be open to the public to solicit entries.
It is said that there are six themes in this competition: the theme of rejuvenating China, the theme of designing gifts for foreign affairs and business, the cultural theme of "one city and four belts", the theme of "Cultural Expo + Park + intangible cultural heritage", the integration theme of culture, tourism, and sports as the world’s first city to hold both the Summer and Winter Olympics, and the theme of Chinese traditional culture during festivals. Through the six themes, we will dig deeper into the cultural connotation of the capital and encourage cultural tourism enterprises to actively explore new business fields and cultivate new business forms.
This year's competition has made innovations in the evaluation form, theme setting, cooperation mode and so on. The organizing committee will continue to invite well-known international and domestic experts and scholars to form an expert evaluation committee. This year, it will also recruit industrial judges, students and social observers to participate in the selection. Cooperation units will be widely invited to work together to create crossover popular products with creative highlights, cultural depth, and market reputation so as to further strengthen publicity and market transformation to enhance the influence and comprehensive benefits of the competition.
The evaluation will go through three stages: preliminary evaluation, re-evaluation and final evaluation. Based on the principle of highlighting Beijing's regional characteristics, capital characteristics, and cultural connotation, with the goal of hosting a high-end, high-quality, and internationalized event, and in accordance with the standards of craftsmanship, marketability, culture, innovation, practicality, and environmental protection, the competition will select entries based on the six major themes. In total, 20 items for each major theme, and altogether 120 items will be listed. On this basis, 20 boutiques will be further selected out of the 120 items.
This competition focuses on transforming the winning designs into real products. The press conference announcing the winners and the award ceremony will be held during the 10th Beijing International Tourism Commodities and Tourism Equipment Expo. The products listed will be displayed and sold on site, and activities such as promotion meetings and "one-to-one" trade fairs will be held. Marketing and promotion will be carried out on major electronic commodity platforms to form the whole industrial chain of cultural and creative products: design, R & D, production, promotion, and marketing.
The relevant person in charge of Beijing Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau said that the 2022 Beijing Tourism Commodities and Cultural and Creative Products Competition takes "Very Beijing" as the theme slogan, encourages the development of tourism cultural and creative products containing traditional Beijing flavor elements and modern fashion elements, enhances the attraction and brand influence of "Beijing gifts", reflects the distinctive characteristics of Beijing as a national cultural center, and leads the high-quality development of national cultural and creative products development.
The competition is for nationwide solicitation, but especially in Beijing, collecting both the physical and creative design.
