01 Shentangyu Natural Scenic Area
The natural scenery of Shentangyu is very beautiful, integrating mountains, rivers, strange peaks and rocks, and is a comprehensive tourist area for people to travel, have fun, relax and take a weekend vacation. Shentangyu Natural Scenic Area is 65 kilometers away from Beijing. It takes about one hour to drive from the North Fourth Ring Road. The environment is quiet and free from noise disturbance, and the mountains on both sides are soaring and spectacular with lush forests. Landscapes such as the Bodhisattva's Hat, the Eagle's Beak Ridge, and the God's Tortoise Rock are all fascinating. There is also a natural "stone waterfall", which is made from a piece of granite of nearly 10,000 square meters washed by rain.
In the Shentangyu scenic area, the Yanqi River, which is made of mountain springs, runs through the whole area and flows continuously in all seasons. The naturally formed Dragon Pool is 4 meters deep and its water is clear and fresh. There are also Mandarin Duck Pond, Crocodile Pond and many other water areas. 02 Longmenjian Scenic Area
Longmenjian Scenic Area is located in the west of Beijing, and the scenic area includes three parts: Longmenjian Grand Canyon, Ghost Valley, and Beijing West Hanging Temple. The temperature in the Grand Canyon is 4-6 ℃ lower than that in the city. Coming to Longmenjian in summer is an excellent choice to escape from the heat. The road in the valley is gentle and the slope is less than 14 degrees, so it is easy to walk. The canyon is rich in vegetation, and the content of negative oxygen ions is 400-500 times higher than that of the city, making it a "natural oxygen bar" near the city. There are dozens of attractions in the valley with different forms, and it is known as "Chinese Wild Bonsai" by geologists.
The valley has winding rock walls, strange rocks and numerous caves. At the narrowest part of Wulong Gorge, the valley path is only two meters wide. And the cliffs on both sides are more than 300 meters high. Have you heard of the "mystery" of Longmenjian since ancient times? Outside the gorge, pines and cypresses are abundant, and frogs are constantly chirping. Inside the canyon, various grasses and trees are abundant, but there are only pines and cypresses that do not grow. Frogs can be seen everywhere in the valley, but the sound of frogs is not heard. This peculiar natural phenomenon is still an unsolved mystery.

Jingdong Grand Canyon consists of two scenic areas, Grand Canyon and Jingtai Mountain. The attractions are connected by an aerial ropeway that is 1,000 meters long with a drop of 420 meters. There are four observation platforms on Jingtai Mountain. Standing on top of the observation deck, you can enjoy the scenery of the scenic area.
The five naturally formed pools in the Grand Canyon are named "Thrilling, Dangerous, Strange, Spiritual, and Loud" in that order. The waterfall located above the fifth pool is a 30-meter drop from the top of the mountain. Because of its high drop, the water pouring speed is very fast, after the fall will rebound up and then fall again.
Tongtian Gorge is a very worthwhile attraction. It is like a narrow gap formed by the cracking of a sky-high mountain peak. If you look closer, the narrowest part of the gap is 1 meter wide. This was once a secret base for the production of military supplies during the the War of Resistance Against Japan. The ruins of a small arsenal are located on the right side of the gorge.
