2022-07-21

In hot summer days, are you afraid of the heat when you go out, and too boring at home? Underground caves can perfectly solve your worries. The landscape is unique, and the temperature is constant all year round. Come and start a cool journey!

1.Baqi Cave

Baqi Cave is a deep cave with a total length of 1,350 meters. The cave is famous for the eight wonders formed by the underground river. Especially, the huge folded "8" inside the cave is a textbook record of geological changes. The temperature inside the cave is between 13℃ and 16℃ all year round, making it warm in winter and cool in summer. If you are afraid of the coldness in summer, remember to prepare a jacket.

Exploration is also a feature of the Baqi Cave and walking through the mysterious and unpredictable underground world is an immersive experience! Inside the cave is the world's first underground tunnel, which is 410 meters long and is very popular among people.

Tickets: Search the WeChat public number "Baqi Cve Scenic Area" and make a reservation to buy tickets.

Address: Baqi Cave National AAAA Scenic Area, Tanzhe Temple Town, Mentougou District, Beijing

2.Silver Fox Cave

Silver Fox Cave is called "the underground maze of North China", and the total length of the tour route is up to 5000 meters. Silver Fox Cave is named after the large crystal karst wonder inside the cave, the "Silver Fox with Cat's Head". The crystals are 2 meters long and covered with plush silver spines, which are crystal white. A thick silver fox tail pattern is formed at the top, and the image is extremely realistic. It is known as a natural wonder and a Chinese national treasure.

It has the only natural underground river in North China that can be visited by boat. The river is full of pools and bends, and it is not frozen all year round. The boatmen do not need to crank the oars but use ropes to move forward. There is also good news! From now on, medical workers and students who have taken the middle and high school exams this year can enjoy the free ticket policy. When entering the park, you can enjoy free tickets by providing a valid credential (student pass, medical work permit). The deadline for the event is August 31, 2022.

3.Shihua Cave

Shihua Cave, also known as Qianzhen Cave and Ten Buddha Cave (Stone Buddha Cave), is located in the deep west of Fangshan District, Beijing. The cave is named after the naturally formed stone flowers, and it is rated as the "Best Wonder of China's Caves". The cave body of Shihua Cave is in the form of a floor structure. Seven layers of the cave have been discovered so far, with the first to sixth layers being the cave landscape and the seventh layer being the underground dark river.

There are many types of natural landscapes in the cave, among which, the "stone lotus" formed by the moon milk stone is composed of more than 540 pieces of stone stalactites. In addition, the stone flag, the double-colored stone shield and the Double Pillars of the Dragon Palace are the best cave karst landscapes in China and abroad.

4.Xianqi Cave

Xianqi Cave is located in Dongguan Shang Village, Zhangfang Town, Fangshan District, more than 80 kilometers away from the downtown area, and adjacent to Shidu Scenic Area. The cave is named Xianqi Cave because of the magnificent and mysterious karst landscape formed by nature, which resembles a fairyland on earth. The tour of Xianqi Cave starts from halfway up the mountain. You have to ride a boat for 500 meters to enter the cave. Because it is ferried by human power, the gasping sound of the ferryman pulling the fiber with great effort collides and amplifies between the cave walls, giving a wonderful sensory experience.

The cave is divided into three levels: upper, middle and lower. The most stunning sight is the 98-meter-high Xianqi Hall. The colorful lights at the top of the cave are like the vast starry sky, which is amazing. The various stalactites are of different forms and realistic images, making it a mecca of art. If you come to visit the cave in summer, it is like entering a cool fairy world.
