On July 15, the “Forbidden City 365” App is launched! Users can get to know the beautiful architecture and information of the Forbidden City. According to the Palace Museum, the application interprets the architectural culture of the Forbidden City from multiple perspectives through four experience forms: beautiful pictures, questions and answers, knowledge, and stories, and comprehensively displays the research results of the protection of the cultural heritage of the Forbidden City.
The magnificent ancient buildings in the Forbidden City are the absolute protagonists of the new app. These ancient buildings, which are at least two or three hundred years old, like young people today, like to take beautiful photos. At present, the App has collected much beautiful scenery of the Forbidden City shot by photographers over the years, and classified them according to season, location, etc. Users can enter this beautiful scenery in different "time and space" and feel four seasons of the Forbidden City at any time.

In the “Forbidden City 365”, all areas in the Forbidden City are "open" for users to explore. Users can learn about palace architecture knowledge and get to know historical stories of the palace. Through the immersive experience of the panoramic picture of palace architecture, users can enter the key areas as if they were in the courtyard and have a close look at the beautiful Forbidden City architectures. According to the staff, in order to adapt to everyone's reading habits, each paragraph of knowledge is a condensed version, which can be read in three to five minutes.

Users can also enter the question answering section, from "Chu Chu Mao Lu" to "Dian Shi Duo Kui", to challenge 30 progressively more difficult levels and answer more than 850 questions about ancient architecture. They can collect achievement badges when passing each level. After passing the "palace examination", users can also compete with other online users. According to the introduction of the Forbidden City, the questions, knowledge of ancient architecture, and online badges will be constantly updated, so that users will play with it and update the app more often.

In fact, the Forbidden City has launched two mobile phone apps. Together with the new “Forbidden City 365”, which shows the architectural culture of the Forbidden City, the apps have already covered three themes of the Forbidden City collection, architecture and exhibition that are most concerned by the users. In the future, these digital products will continue to improve their functions, enrich their contents, and continuously show the charm of Chinese excellent traditional culture.
The digital skills of the Forbidden City are also growing mature. On July 15th, the Forbidden City signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Ding Talk (China) Information Technology Co., Ltd. The two sides will jointly build an exclusive digital platform to accelerate the construction of the "digital Forbidden City"; Further cooperate to explore more forms of digital innovation management and promote the full integration and mutual support of culture, science, and technology.
Du Haijiang, secretary of the party committee and vice president of the Palace Museum, said that during the "14th Five-Year Plan," period, the Palace Museum will speed up the layout of a new generation of digital infrastructure, promote the construction of a smart Museum, and realize the permanent preservation and sustainable inheritance of cultural heritage through the construction of an information-based platform and a large database of cultural relics, on the premise of enhancing basic data collection and ensuring data security.
