To meet the consumer demand for summer leisure travel in Beijing's suburbs, starting from July 10, the Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism organized the "Micro Vacation: Beijing's Suburbs for a Summer" campaign, officially issuing a total of up to 30 million yuan of Beijing's suburban accommodation vouchers to consumers through the Where to Travel App and small programs.

Consumers can receive the vouchers online when booking hotels and rural B&Bs in 10 suburbs, including Mentougou, Fangshan, Tongzhou, Shunyi, Changping, Daxing, Huairou, Pinggu, Miyun and Yanqing districts, and enjoy a 50% discount on a single order, with a maximum subsidy of no more than RMB 1,000.

The vouchers are expected to be issued in three phases, the first from July 10, 2022 to July 31, 2022; the second from August 1, 2022 to August 31, 2022; and the third from September 1, 2022 to September 30, 2022.

The Beijing Suburbs Accommodation Voucher is free of charge, valid for the month in which it is collected, for orders made from Sunday to Thursday (excluding legal holidays) between July 10, 2022 and September 30, 2022. The same user can receive one voucher per month, which can be used when booking hotels and rural B&Bs with the "Beijing Suburban Accommodation Voucher" logo.

According to the head of the Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, with the normalization of epidemic prevention and control and the prolonged impact of the epidemic on the culture and tourism industry, the issuance of Beijing suburban accommodation vouchers will not only release the demand for culture and tourism consumption that has been built up in recent times, but also encourage consumers to go to the suburbs at the wrong time to taste the food, enjoy the beauty, experience life and feel the charm of the suburbs. The vouchers are scheduled to be used in July.

The vouchers are available from Sunday to Thursday of each week between July 10 and September 30, taking into account the fact that under the normal conditions of epidemic prevention and control, the summer is a favorable time period to guide consumers to stagger their travels.

In particular, it allows consumer groups including students on summer vacation, families on vacation, and retired groups who can travel on weekdays to travel to the outskirts of Beijing for leisure, reducing the gathering of people to the outskirts of Beijing on weekends, reducing the pressure of epidemic prevention and control in the outskirts due to people traveling, and reducing the risk of epidemic transmission. In the next step, the Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism will also hold a series of cultural tourism to promote consumption activities, holding supporting activities such as summer Yanqing, leisure Miyun, wine tasting Fangshan, and launching the top ten micro vacation destinations in Beijing.

The Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism especially reminds that all accommodation enterprises and consumers participating in this Beijing suburban accommodation consumption voucher activity should strictly implement the requirements of regular epidemic prevention and control.
