
Yaji Mountain Scenic Area is located in Liujiadian Town, Pinggu District, Beijing (91 km from Tiananmen, 70 km from Dongzhimen and 45 km from Jinhai Lake). It is named as the two boulders at the top of the mountain look like the buns on the head of the girl in ancient times. The people also call Yaji Mountain as "Dongda Mountain". The altitude of the mountain is 363 meters, and the Bixia Yuanjun Temple on the mountain is a famous Taoist temple in the east of Beijing. It was built in the Tang Dynasty and flourished in the Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. There was the original Yunyan Temple in the Ketou Ditch of the mountain. It was divided into two temples, built in the Liao Dynasty and rebuilt many times. The upper temple is built on the cliff. Its scale is large and the project is dangerous.
