Changyucheng Village - "Little Tibet" in North Beijing

2022-05-31

Known as the Tibet of Changping, the village is located in the northwest of Liucun Town of Changping District in Beijing, 54 km away from the Satellite City of Changping, with a total area of 1,850 hectares. Changyucheng village was built in the Ming Dynasty hundreds of years ago, with an ancient city architectural style; inside it, there are well-preserved Wongcheng (a semi-circle or square enclosure for refortifying the defense of a castle or a gate), ancient house and temple, as well as city wall dividing the village into two parts, which all verify its long history.

In the summer of 2017, Changyucheng Village opened a new climbing path of 20 km, around which there are many breathtaking scenes for tourists to take photos, have a rest and enjoy the nature. The Changyucheng folk opera fusing the local features, similar to Hebei Laodiao and Hebei Bangzi (both of them are the local operas in Hebei Province, North China), has always been staging since more than 500 years ago.

Address: Changyucheng Village, Liucun Town, Changping District, Beijing
