The Hall is dedicated to the Jade Emperor, with two maids standing to the left and right. In the 60th birthday of Kangxi (1713), Taoist priest Li Juxiang built the Jade Emperor Pavilion. In the 54th year of Kangxi (1715) reign, Emperor Kangxi honored the 60th birthday by giving it an imperial inscription. The ninth day of the first luar month is the Jade Emperor's birthday, commonly known as the "Jade Emperor Festival". According to legend, all the gods in heaven and earth celebrate this day with great pomp and circumstance. The Jade Emperor returned to the Heavenly Palace in the afternoon of his birthday, and at that time, grand celebrations were held in Taoist palaces.
