Longtan (Dragon Pool) Park

2022-05-09

Located in the southeast second ring of Beijing city, southeast of Guangming Bridge, Longtan Park was built in 1952. The total area is 49.2 hectares, with a water area of 19.47 hectares. It is named Longtan Lake because it forms a dragon shape with Longxu Ditch. The beautiful garden scenery and rich cultural connotations make it a tourist attraction.

Longtan Park has carried out several large-scale renovation and construction, building pavilions and halls, masonry steps and lakeshore, and planting willows and acacias. There are scenic spots such as Dragon Pool, Dragon Stone Forest, Dragon Gate, Dragon Pavilion, Wanliu Hall, Lotus Island and Center Island. The scenery in the garden is beautiful, with Dragon Bridge, Dragon Pavilion and Dragon Gate beside the mountain and water, and Dragon Cypress, Dragon Jujube and Dragon Acacia in different styles. It is a new type of urban garden that integrates classical architecture of the north with modern gardening art and highlights the Chinese "dragon" culture as the theme.

Address: No.16, Longtan Road, Dongcheng District, Beijing
