1. Red Building of Peking University

The Red Building of Peking University is a modern building with glorious revolutionary traditions, an important place where Li Dazhao, Chen Duxiu, Mao Zedong and so on carried out their revolutionary activities. It was the climax of the New Culture Movement, an important fountainhead of the May Fourth Movement, and the birthplace of the early CPC organization in Beijing. In 1961, the Red Building of Peking University was announced as one of the first national key cultural relics protection units.

2. The former site of Sino-French University

The former site of Sino-French University is an East-meets-West building with Western-style structure and Chinese tile roof. It covers an area of about 5,000 square meters and has a construction area of about 8,600 square meters. After a hundred years of vicissitudes, the buildings and facilities such as teaching rooms, auditorium, the library and bookstore are still intact and in good condition.

The founding of Sino-French University originated from the work-study movement in France at the beginning of the 20th century. Its predecessor was the French preparatory school founded by the Association of Work-Study in France, which was initiated by Cai Yuanpei and others in the early days of the Republic of China. In 1920, it was renamed Xishan College of the Sino-French University. The first president was Cai Yuanpei, and the original school was located in Biyun Temple in Xishan.

The Sino-French University was one of the early activities of the Communist Party of China. In 1923, the Sino-French University branch of the CPC was established. Chen Yi, who had worked and studied in France, entered the University of China-France in 1923. From 1924 to 1925, he served as secretary of the Sino-French University CPC branch. And it was the first position held by Chen Yi in CPC. This university has produced a group of students with patriotic sentiments and progressive ideas, and many of them became leading figures in culture and education in the early years of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

3. Imperial City Roots Ruins Park

Beijing is an imperial city with a long history, leaving behind many ruins of the city walls. The Imperial City Root Wall Ruins is one of the relatively large ones among the ruins of Beijing's city walls. The park is about 2,800m long and 29m wide. It is divided into two sections: north and south. The northern section is from Di'anmen East Street to Wusi Street, with a length of about 1,000 m. The southern section is from Wusi Street to East Chang'an Street, with a length of about 1,800 m. There is a section of the wall at the northern end of the park, and the park was rebuilt on the original site. The southernmost end of the park is a sunken square surrounded by greenery.
