The tomb of martyr Gao Junyu is located in a dense pine forest at the northern foot of Jinqiu Hill in the central island of Taoranting Park. Two white marble tombstones stand very close to each other in the thick shade of the pines. This is the resting place of Gao Junyu, a famous early Communist activist and outstanding communist fighter, and his girlfriend, Shi Pingmei, a revolutionary writer during the May Fourth Movement and also a pioneer of the women's liberation movement.
