Xi Tian Fan Jing, also known as the Great West Heaven, is one of the most famous scenic spots in Beihai, with Heart-East Study to the east and Qionghua Island to the south. It was originally the West Heavenly Zen Forest Lama Temple in the Ming Dynasty, and was rebuilt in the 24th year of the Qianlong era (1759) in the Qing Dynasty. In 1980, it was rebuilt and opened to the public.
