The Yuyuantan Park 2022 Cherry Blossom and Spring Flowers Viewing Season started on March 25. The elegant spring welcoming cherry blossoms, the graceful weeping cherry blossoms and the elegant mountain cherry blossoms are all in full bloom. Let's go for a spring outing and enjoy the romantic early cherry blossoms!
Yuyuantan is named after the water, and was called Diaoyutai in the Liao and Jin dynasties, and Yuyuantan in the Yuan dynasty. The Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty built a palace here. It has been a famous tourist attraction for more than 800 years. The park mainly consists of scenic spots such as the Liuchun Garden in the east, the Cherry Blossom Garden in the west, Zhongshan Island in the south, and the Diversion Lake in the north. Among them, the most famous "eight scenes of cherry blossoms" are mostly distributed in the Cherry Garden in the west.
When you enter the park from the east gate, the first thing you will see is the Cherry Blossom Road. Here, cherry blossoms are in full bloom. The petals are cascading and swaying gently with the breeze.
The cherry blossoms in the "Early Cherry Blossoms" scenic spot, which is located west of the waterside pavilion on the front hill, are the first to bloom every spring, bringing the smell of spring to everyone.
The "Other Side of the River" is one of a large Yoshino - type cherry trees in the park. The whole tree is lush and leafy, standing on its own by the lake in a beautiful posture. The image of the tree against the water on the side of the lake has become the representative view of cherry blossoms in the park, and a good place for visitors to take pictures.
The cherry blossoms in the "Friendship Cherry Blossom Forest" area are mostly Someiyoshino, which have only five petals. The flowers are light scarlet when they first bloom, and the color gradually lightens as the flowers gradually bloom. When the blossoms are in full bloom, the branches are full of flowers, making it look like a cloud of haze from a distance.
The 18th Beijing Yuyuantan Park "Spring in Yuyuantan" Photography Contest is also underway. While enjoying the cherry blossoms, why not use your lens to frame the beautiful scenery of the park's spring scenery?
In order to relieve the visitors in the core area, Cherry Blossom Garden, the park has devoted itself to planting cherry blossoms in the whole park in recent years. The pattern of "one garden, multi-cherry blossom viewing spots" has been formed to meet the need of visitors to enjoy cherry blossoms in different areas at different times. In addition, this year, the park has newly supplemented 67 mountain cherry trees of 5 varieties to improve the cherry blossom landscape and expand the cherry blossom viewing space for tourists.
There are more than 3,000 cherry blossoms of more than 40 varieties available for viewing in the park. Early, middle and late cherry blossoms will open for a month one after another.
