Two Days’ Trip from Hancunhe to Yunju Temple to Enjoy Mid-autumn Festival

2016-09-12

It’s that time of the year again. As summer begins to wind down and September approaches, you can experience a mid-autumn festival everywhere you go. This year, the Mid-autumn festival lands on September 15, 2016. During the holidays, you can take your family for a two day trip and share moon cakes with each other. We recommend a classic route to you: from Hancunhe Tourism Village to Yunju Temple.

Day 1: Hancunhe Village

Hancunhe village is located in Fangshan District, about 50km away from downtown Beijing. Once a poor village, Hancunhe has now become one of the nation's model villages. You can find such facilities as a park, department store, hotel, swimming pool, cinema, travel agency, post office, and hospital and education center. This is a modern Chinese village. It is well planned and organized.

You can visit a local family, talking and chatting with your hosts. Then visit the modern facilities in the village. The most intriguing activity is to visit the green house to see all the out of season vegetables. You also have the chance to visit their village development museum to learn more about the village's history and its development.
